About Daya...  

DAYA promotes healthy family relationships in the South-Asian community by providing services that include counseling, referrals, legal advocacy, and financial support to women and children affected by family violence and sexual assault. Daya also promotes awareness on topics relevant to the welfare of South Asian families through educational seminars, publications, and outreach events. 

  
From being a helpline in the early years of its inception, Daya has grown to be one of the largest free service providers of its kind to the South Asian community in the United States. In 2008, Daya received over 4000 client related calls, served 203 clients, provided transitional housing to 6 clients at Daya's Harmony House, and held more than 15 outreach and education events.
