In-Kind Donations

Daya provides clients with care kits tailored to where they are in their journey to safety and healing. We currently offer three types of care kits: Fleeing Kits, Starter Kits, and Hygiene Kits—each designed to meet immediate and ongoing needs at critical moments.

These kits are more than just supplies; they provide comfort, dignity, and peace of mind during some of the most difficult moments in our clients’ lives. Each item helps ensure that survivors and their children can focus on staying safe, healing, and starting anew without the added stress of unmet basic needs.

To best support clients as needs arise, we aim to keep at least three of each kit on hand at all times. To help us reach this goal, please see below for the full list of items included in each kit. You may choose to purchase individual items or sponsor an entire kit to make a meaningful impact.

Daya Fleeing Kit
 

​Fleeing Kits support survivors and their children who must leave an abusive situation during an immediate crisis. These kits include essential resources such as transportation support, meals, hygiene items, and emergency funds that make it possible to get to safety and access help right away.

Each kit includes:

​

  • 1 Visa gift card ($50 - $100) - to purchase essentials (clothing, diapers, snacks)

  • 1 Uber or Lyft gift card ($100) - for transportation needs

  • 1 DoorDash/Uber gift card for meals ($50-$100) - to get diet-compliant (halal or vegetarian) meals delivered to the shelter or hotel

  • Small Hygiene kit with basics

  • Small blanket/throw for comfort

Daya Starter Kit

​Starter Kits are provided to clients and their families as they move into housing for the first time after fleeing. These kits help transform a new space into a stable, welcoming home as survivors begin to rebuild their lives.

Each kit includes:

  • Bedsheets Queen size (2)

  • Blanket/Comforter - Queen (2 each)

  • Pillows (2)

  • Shower curtain and ring set (1)

  • Bath Towels (4 per household)

  • Shampoo (2)

  • Conditioner (2)

  • Body wash (2)

  • Toothbrush (2)

  • Toothpaste (2)

  • Hand soap (2)

  • Toilet Paper (4 rolls)

  • Feminine hygiene products 

  • Set of plates/bowls 

  • Cups (4 per household)

  • Utensils 

  • Pots/Pans/Kitchen Utensils set (1 set)

  • Dish soap (1)

  • Kitchen sponges

  • Paper towels (2)

  • Trash bags (1 pack 13 gallon)

  • Flashlight (1)

  • First Aid Kit (1)

  • Broom & dustpan (1)

  • All-purpose spray cleaner/wipes (1 each)

Daya Hygiene Kit

​Hygiene Kits provide essential personal care items that help clients maintain dignity, comfort, and well-being as they navigate challenging transitions.

​Daya does not accept any clothing (including Desi clothing) or furniture donations. Donation pick up is not available.
