Volunteer

NOTE: Daya is offering limited onboarding for new volunteers at this time. If you are interested in volunteering with Daya, please reach out to charanya@dayahouston.org for more information. All volunteers are required to attend a Volunteer Orientation Session and complete the required training.

Daya currently utilizes volunteers in the following areas:​​​​

Outreach​

Build awareness about Daya’s mission and services in the community by helping at special events and festivals.

​Direct Services

Support Daya clients by providing transportation to clients, help with language interpretation, assist ongoing clients with employment search and other needs as part of their case management. Please expect an additional 20-40 hours of training as required by law to work directly with clients.​​

Pro-bono Services​

Provide free or discounted professional services for legal, health, financial, and employment needs of Daya clients.

Fundraising

Amplify Daya’s impact in the community by hosting fundraising events or drives for clients' supplies.
